Nightguards/Occlusal Appliances

Not every nightguard/occlusal appliance is the same and not every clinical condition is the same. Drs. Wright, Luckenbaugh, and Townsend utilize a number of appliances that are specific to each patient’s specific diagnosis and needs. Most commonly, appliances are prescribed for patients with conditions ranging from temporomandibular joint disorders, oral- muscular pain, night time teeth grinding and clenching, as well as sleep apnea. Examination and diagnosis is the key for successful treatment outcomes with occlusal appliances.
