I have been in dentistry for over 35 years and have been a part of the Maplewood Dental family the entire time! As a dental assistant, I enjoy making our patients’ experience comfortable, easy and fun. Being able to witness the outcome of the patients’ treatment plan and seeing their beautiful smiles is very rewarding. I am blessed to be a part of this incredible team! As part of the Maplewood family since 1988, I have worked in both the administrative and clinical side. When I’m not working, you can find me at the beach or camping with my husband and family. I’m the proud ‘honey’ to three grandsons and one soon-to-be granddaughter!
I attended Manor College in Jenkintown, PA, where I received an associate’s degree in allied health & sciences. I am a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). I spent over 15 years in a cosmetic-based practice and have since branched out into a surgical assistant and treatment coordinator at Maplewood Dental Associates since 2015. I hold certifications in sedation dentistry, phlebotomy, coronal polishing and sealants as well as I have completed Level IV training in Cerec Digital Dentistry at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry. I have 3 sons, a grandson and l live in Milton with my husband and 2 dogs. My hobbies include biking, running and relaxing on the beach.
Jeannie has been a dental assistant for over 35 years and began her career with Maplewood in 2021. She appreciates the advanced technology that Maplewood offers both the staff and patients and loves that she always has the opportunity to learn something new and exciting. Jeannie is a native Philadelphian who loves to chase sunsets and spend time at the beach with her family.
I’ve been in dentistry for 22 years and I love educating patients and helping to enrich their lives. I love the flexibility and how no day is ever the same. There is always room to grow! Maplewood Dental changes lives every day, and it is so wonderful to be a part of what we do! In my spare time, I love volunteering, giving back to our community and helping others. I love to travel and am not afraid to step out of my comfort zone and experience new cultures. I also love to read.
MacKenzie has been a valued team member at Maplewood for over four years. She loves the extraordinary opportunity to learn in the field and be involved with the community. Her favorite part of the job is welcoming new patients and soothing their dental anxiety through conversation and laughs. MacKenzie is a soon-to-be mom of two, originally from the Baltimore area. She loves spending time with her husband and family, their golden retriever, Kash, and boating.
I have worked in the dental field since 1991. I am happy to be a part of the Maplewood Dental family, where I can use my skills and education to help patients achieve a happy smile. I am especially good at helping anxious patients feel at ease for a more positive experience. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, boating and spending time with my family. I enjoy learning new things and hold multiple licenses and certifications in the dental field as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
I have enjoyed helping patients with their dental health for 23 years. It is my pleasure to help patients feel at ease while in the chair. Educating patients on how to keep their smiles healthy has always been a goal of mine. Maplewood family has been a great family to me. I look forward to many more years in practice here! I served 8 years in the US Army prior to attending dental hygiene school at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Ga. I have 3 daughters and 11 grandchildren. I have a love for historic homes and fresh Eastern Shore seafood.
In my first year of practicing dental hygiene, I can honestly say that I have never witnessed as much skill, integrity, and kindness in one office as I have at Maplewood Dental Associates! I have a passion for helping others and educating my patients on their oral health. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and our sweet one-year-old, as well as traveling!
I have been a dental hygienist since 2011. As a hygienist, I am passionate in providing exceptional care to my patients and helping them learn how to maintain proper oral hygiene. I enjoy working at Maplewood because as a whole our entire team is dedicated to improving patient care and our doctors encourage us to continue learning. I am a Delaware native who enjoys our beaches, spending time with family/friends and traveling.
Sara has worked for Maplewood for 9 years. She values the relationships she has developed with her patients on both a professional and personal level and looks forward to catching up with their life stories while she maintains their oral hygiene. She enjoys hearing about their travels, families, and hobbies with each visit. Sara loves traveling and takes a trip somewhere new every year. She also enjoys going to the gym, gardening, spending with friends, and cooking for her family.
My dental career began in 1992 as a dental assistant and then I graduated from Dental Hygiene school in 2009. I relocated to the Rehoboth Beach area in 2014, at which time I began my dental journey with Maplewood Dental Associates. It is truly a joy to provide dental care and aid in patient education along side such an excellent team of administrators, assistants, hygienists and doctors. We love and value our patients and strive for excellence in all we do! My passions are my family, my faith, animals and nature. I have enjoyed traveling and the ‘busy life’, but there is no place like home, time with the ones I love, the salty air, beach walks and a good book!
Laurie has been a registered dental assistant for 31 years and is experienced in both clinical care and office administration. In her current role, Laurie serves as the scheduler for two doctors and the administrative team leader in the office. She loves that Maplewood has given her the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in all aspects of the dental field, which allows her to better support both team members and patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
I am a hardworking administrator with over 30 years of professional experience. I’ve spent the last 25 years delivering an exceptional patient experience and maximizing operational efficiency. My mantra: “It’s all about people!” I believe in hospitality in terms of lasting impressions with patients. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, fishing, and creating beautiful flower gardens. I also enjoy spending time with my golden retriever pups.
My career in the dental field began in 2019. Since then, I have gained skills and knowledge in dental insurance billing and processes. As a part of the Maplewood Dental family, I am able to use these skills to help patients obtain their treatment goals and maximize their insurance benefits. I love to spend time with my family outdoors and walk nature trails. I also enjoy reading and watching true crime documentaries.
